Default need help guy !!!! i got 2 code and dont know what it mean ..

i got a 2001 acura Cl type s

the code is

-P1259 "VTEC SYSTEM B1 FAILURE"

-P1399 "Multiple / Random Misfire Detected"

o yeah when i turn on the car,, it sound like shit and it cut off and dont keep idle at all ..


what should i check for .. and what need to be change...


help me ....

Possible you may have bad spark plugs or one of your coil packs went out.

how many miles? have you changed the plugs? if so did you go back with the oem platinum plug? Hondas don't really like any other platinum plug. We have changed out peoples pugs at the dealership because they used bosch plugs and they caused misfire. Your plugs should be changed at 100K-105K.

I have looked at the actual VTEC code you are having but I do know that if you are having miss fire the vtec system will not operate because the misfire could cause damage to the vtec system.

Vtec solenoid might be jammed open. clear the codes and see if anything changes.
